Volunteer Opportunities

The success of our organization hinges on the active participation of parents, community volunteers, and local sponsorships. Dedicated individuals from our community contribute their time and resources all year round to ensure that our association continues to thrive, providing our youth with a fun and safe athletic environment. As we prepare for the upcoming baseball and softball seasons, we remain eager for generous and compassionate individuals to join us in enhancing our community.

Here are some opportunities for you to get involved starting today!

* * Parent Involvement * *

The strength of our programs is deeply rooted in the commitment of our amazing MCAA families. Particularly at the younger age levels, we rely on parent volunteers to assist with games and practices. There are many ways to contribute beyond coaching, including field preparation, equipment management, and various other essential tasks. Don’t hesitate to contact your child’s coach to explore how you can help.

* * Attend Board Meetings * *

We invite all community members to attend our monthly board meetings. Please check our website and follow us on social media for details regarding time and location. These meetings provide a platform for all voices to be heard, making it an excellent opportunity to share your insights and suggestions for improvement. Regular attendance can also lead to greater involvement and leadership opportunities within our association.

* * Become a Volunteer Coach * *

We are continually seeking enthusiastic coaches who can share their skills and knowledge with the young athletes in our community. If you’re interested in coaching, please reach out to the division general manager for your desired coaching position. Remember, it’s important to obtain the necessary clearances in accordance with PA state legislation before working with children. For more details, please refer to our Clearance Policy.

* * Support the Snack Shack/Concessions * *

Our stunning facilities are one of MCAA’s greatest assets. With multiple games happening simultaneously, our concessions play a crucial role in enhancing the game-day experience while generating revenue that supports our programs and facilities. If you would like to help with concessions, please contact our concession facilitator: Kristin Poncheri.

* * Field Clean-Up Day * *

Every spring, we hold a field clean-up day to prepare for opening day. This is a crucial event where we finalize projects and ready our facility for the excitement of baseball season! Tasks may include cleaning dugouts, weeding, raking, and more. Your child’s coach will communicate the date and time for this year’s clean-up day.

* * Ongoing Projects * *

The upkeep and enhancement of our fields and facilities rely entirely on the generosity of volunteers, donors, and sponsors. Throughout the year, we aim to undertake projects that will maintain or elevate our beautiful baseball and softball complex. Past initiatives have included building dugouts and batting cages. By attending board meetings and staying engaged, you can remain informed about upcoming projects.
