TEAM USA ITINERARY
(Working itinerary as of April 6, 2006)

August 20, 2006 TEAM USA departs Pittsburgh, PA for Tokyo, Japan
August 22, 2006 TEAM USA arrives Narita Airport, Tokyo, Japan.  Saihoku PONY League will meet TEAM USA and transport by bus.  
Plan 1: Tokyo Disneyland on the way to Saitam (Pittsburgh's sister city in Japan).
Plan 2: Do nothing, depending on arrival time.
Players meet their host families.
August 23, 2006 Afternoon Game.  The Mayor may come to the ballpark.  TEAM USA will need to do things such as a flag exchange or something similiar.  After the game, TEAM USA will be taken to a swimming pool.
August 24, 2006 Morning Game.  Kiyose PONY League will pick up TEAM USA and take them to the Kiyose Area where the Mayor will be visiting after lunch.  TEAM USA will need a proclamation and a flag. 
Afternoon.  Players will meet their host families.
August 25, 2006 Two games.
August 26, 2006 Free Time or One Game.
August 27, 2006 West Tokyo PONY Region will pick up TEAM USA and transport by bus.  TEAM USA will be taken to a hotel in the west Tokyo area.
August 28, 2006 Two games.
August 29, 2006 Plan 1: Japan PONY Association will take TEAM USA on an all-day sightseeing tour.
Plan 2: Tokyo Disneyland
Everyone will stay at the same hotel - either in West Tokyo or near the Airport.
August 30, 2006 TEAM USA departs Narita Airport for Pittsburgh, PA,USA

NOTES:

  1. Tokyo Disneyland is approximately $45 per person for a one day pass.
  2. While players are having a homestay, a manager and two coaches will stay at a hotel in the area.  The Host organization will take care of lodging expenses and provide $20-$30 per person a day for meal money.
  3. When players and coaches stay at the hotel (August 27-30), the Host organization will take care of lodging expenses and meals.
  4. We must limit the players to 20 or less.
